George Tabb- Punk Rock
I don't know if I've talked about George Tabb before, but I am going to now. He's a punk rocker that I've looked up to since I heard about and started reading his columns in Maximum Rock N' Roll when I was 16. He's written numerous stories from his life that are collected in two books, memoirs from his childhood in the first book and continuing through his highschool and college years in the second book. I have both books and have read and re-read them both. If you're interested in checking them out, go through the above link from his name-forcing you to look through his site a bit is my intention-or you can check out Amazon, which is where I ordered my books. The reason I'm bringing him up is that he is sick, really has been sick for awhile, going through many surgeries over the last couple years. I've been reading his website to keep track of his books when they first came out in 2004 other than updates on the book or his happenings he would talk about getting sick, apologize for lack of updates, but come back better after some time. This happened over and over, but I figured each time he would recover fully. To get a fuller perspective of what I'm talking about, check out his website. You can also have a look at his page http://www.myspace.com/helpgeorgetabb, which gets more to the point. He's sick, needs help, and is asking those who care for any help. So, I'm putting the word out to try and help, mainly counting on the random hits I get daily since I have a small amount of readers, but mainly to get the word out. Anyway, thanks for reading, give his links a looksee.
