An action in contraction

I finished reading A Clockwork Orange today while sitting in the lovely and cool upstairs of a cafe that I think may become a usual of mine. That was a longer sentence than I intended to simply say that I finished the book I started months back. Anyway, I'm glad I went through the book again other than to remind myself of the nadsat language that led up to my diary, and now more general use, identity. I had forgotten how horrible and disturbing the technique for criminal behavior changed "your humble narrator." Although, the story brings up the question of 'what is horrible?' If nothing else, trying to pin down definable 'good' and 'bad' is difficult. If anything is pinned, the pinning is usually brief and slips away like a greased pig. Wait, that term is a little cliche. The whole image of a greased pig. How about the pinned thing will eventually slip away like a greased cylinder of lard that shoots off like liquid butter out of a plastic container squeezed with all the might of an over exuberant child trying to spurt yellowy, dairy goo on a 13 inch loaf of dry bread. That's a better image I think when it comes to 'good' and 'bad' and the whole wrestling down thereof.

So much butter. What was that kid thinking?
